Digital Health and AI Innovation Lab: Overcoming business challenges with academic collaborations – Pump prime funding opportunity, Wednesday 4th May 2022

Innovation Labs 2022: Call for Academics

Together with the Christabel Pankhurst Institute, the Business Engagement and the R&I Health Innovation Accelerator teams, Translation Manchester are running an Innovation Lab around Digital Health and AI on Wednesday 4th May 2022, 12:00-17:00. The event is aimed at initiating and pump priming research projects co-developed by industry and academics addressing specific business challenges around Digital Health and AI.

Over the course of the facilitated workshop, project plans will be developed by invited academics and industry partners, and pitched to a panel of experts for seed funding. We will pump prime up to 3 projects at £20k each. We have now received the challenges from our business partners listed below and we are actively seeking for academics to join the event.

  • Virtual and Mixed Reality in healthcare and medical education
  • Digital solutions (apps) for mental health
  • Digital Oncology
  • Data visualisation of complex data for decision making in healthcare
  • Digital psychological intervention for patients with diabetes and co-morbid depression and/or anxiety

If you wish to find out more about this initiative, and want to take part to the workshop for an opportunity to develop industry collaborations and secure pump priming funding, please follow the link below.

We accept expression of interest from academics until 20th April 2022.
